Through explorations on rounded sans and humanist slabs, Gingerbread, a storybook typeface emerged, referencing the fairy tale fable of Hansel and Gretel. It has a significant sense of playful sweetness, while remaining a little contemporary and off-kilter. It hosts an extremely wide variety of glyphs that add to the charm. Examples include the triple-f glyph, relevant only to German language, which is where the Hansel and Gretel story originates from, or the “candy” dingbats that lend this face flair.
