Sony HX1 Camera

Promotional Brochure

Sony needed to promote their brand new camera: the HX1. Project requirements were firm on a tri-fold brochure structure, along standard Sony brand guidelines of maintaining simplicity and energy. This was for a customer-facing in-store piece. I focused on creating an iconic introduction to this little powerhouse, and promoting the significant new camera features. These included creating a 10-frame sequence to demonstrate the 10-frames-per-second shooting feature, as well as a large panorama to demonstrate the exclusive auto-pan feature.

 

The final piece is powerful, sophisticated, and speaks to a wide audience of amateur camera aficionados through to casual point-and-shoot travelers. The overall result of this project is striking, powerful, complex, yet straightforward, and thought-provoking.
