All the illustration is entirely my own. I decided on this direction after ideation led me to the melding of East and West. This essentially reflects an early-20th-century American wood type/circus style, with the subject of the illustrations primarily pulled from Japanese culture. Contemporary pop cultural elements (such as the Iron Chef) intermingle with classic Japanese traditional patterns to result in a playful, enthusiastic sense of celebration.
This campaign included the development of a large bus-shelter poster, street post banners, and T-shirts.
