Seeking America

Photo-Essay

This photo-essay was developed in the spring of 2008, when I set out on a train/road trip across the United States. I traveled through 22 states, and spent time in innumerous cities, photo-trekking the whole way through. What I found was an immensity of America… a wild vastness. I met incredible human beings, and experienced a million lives and hopes and joy. People shared the magic of the cities they call home with me.

 

The purpose I hope this series can serve is to motivate Americans to spend more time traveling through their country. Too many people fly nowadays, and miss all sorts of magic along the route as a result. There are hidden goodies everywhere you look in America, and I hope to inspire everyone who sees this to gain a desire for a better understanding of their own country.
